Indians get 1/3rd of all UK visas, China 2nd with 13%

Indians account for almost a third of all UK visas issued, making them the highest visa getters. VFS Global plans to open temporary centres in Prayagraj, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Dehradun, Indore, and Thane. Nigerian and Turkish nationals also feature on the UK visitor visa list. The new centres will save applicants from travelling to metros and paying high application fees. The UK, along with Canada, was one of the first destinations to expedite visa processing for Indians post-Covid, thanks to high commissioner Alex Ellis. VFS Global has been awarded a global contract to deploy VCAS Centres in various countries in 2024.
