Mahua asks for more time to face ethics panel

TMC MP Mahua Moitra has written to the ethics committee of Lok Sabha that she cannot appear before it on October 31 due to prior engagements and will only be available after November 5. Moitra also requested to be allowed to "cross-examine" businessman Darshan Hiranandani due to the nature of the allegations. She expressed her eagerness to have a fair hearing and an opportunity to defend herself against the allegations made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai.
