Four terrorist associates — one affiliated with Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH) and three with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) — were arrested with arms and ammunition at security checkpoints in the Kashmir Valley last week, police said Sunday. While the AGH affiliate was apprehended in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on November 26, the LeT trio was arrested in Baramulla in the north on November 25. When questioned, the LeT duo disclosed they had acquired the grenades and cash from Manzoor Ahmad Bhatti, also a resident of Kamalkote, to execute acts of terror.
