The Supreme Court of India has upheld the decision to withdraw the case regarding the religious character of the Gyanvapi mosque from Justice Prakash Padia. The case involves claims by Hindus that the mosque was built on the site of the ancient Vishwanath Temple. The petition to challenge the withdrawal of the case was rejected by the bench of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, despite arguments against the decision. The court stated that the reasons given for the transfer were sufficient and that there was little they could do to interfere.
