Apple is planning to defend its "alerts" on "state-sponsored attackers" attempting to hack iPhones, following the Indian government's request for an explanation. Sources say the company is considering sending executives who specialise in threat notifications to India to convey the reasons for the alerts. Apple stated that some of the threat notifications "may be false alarms", adding that it is unable to provide information about what causes the alerts to be issued.
